Healthy
Healthy is a word that's thrown around a lot these days. So what does healthy mean to us? We believe that the food you eat is just one part of a healthy life. Exercise, balanced relationships, spirituality, and managing your stress also play important roles. So to help fuel your healthy life, we want to provide food that tastes good and nourishes your body. All of our products will be wholesome and free of refined sugars, unnecessary preservatives, and chemicals. We also promise to only use healthy, beneficial fats, like monounsaturated fat, in our foods. We also promise to only use high quality cooking oils, like olive oil and coconut oil. If we wouldn’t serve it to our family in good conscience, we won’t be serving it in our store.
Local
Good food has the power to change a community— to empower it’s people, provide jobs, and enhance lives. It's estimated that $68 of every $100 spent at a small business will directly impact the local economy. Not only is local food better for the economy, but it's also better for you! Local food gets to your plate sooner, thus retaining more nutrients and flavor. That’s why we believe in sourcing from local providers whenever possible. We promise to bring you food that's fresh, natural and preservative-free from trusted sources that are just as passionate as we are.
Sustainable
We believe in being good stewards of the resources we’ve been given. We’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint, as well as supporting companies who do the same. We're sourcing locally as much as possible and using eco-friendly and compostable packaging. We’ve partnered with Food Loops, a local food waste service, for composting and recycling services for our food waste and packaging. We also encourage our customers to only take what they will use (i.e. lids, straws, napkins, utensils, etc.).
